Following their inactivity last weekend due to the postponement of the scheduled North West U21’s Development League Premier Division fixture against Knowsley, Witton return to action on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Stalybridge Celtic.
Witton’s last outing saw them beaten by leaders Macclesfield FC a fortnight ago in a game that went away from them in the second half, having been in the game at half time only being 1-0 behind.
Macclesfield added a further four goals after the interval with Albion only having Michael Woolley’s consolation to show for their efforts.
Stalybridge arrive at Moss Farm looking to complete the league double over Witton, following their 3-1 win a few weeks ago a game where Albion put up a decent showing and became the first team to breach Stalybridge’s defence this season.
Witton are still looking for their first league points of the season but have shown improvement in recent weeks and will be hoping to continue in that vain this afternoon.
Kick off at Moss Farm is 4.30pm and the lads would be very appreciative of any support they receive, it does help in their performances.
