Witton’s U21’s face a tough challenge on Sunday evening when they welcome leaders Stockport Town in a North West U21’s Development League Premier Division fixture. Witton currently find themselves in tenth place in the league with seven points from their first seven games whilst the visitoame with renewed vigour rs have only dropped three points from their eight games and have a four point cushion over their nearest challengers. A fortnight’s break may have been beneficial to the team and they can hopefully go into the game with renewed vigour and put in a performance. Forwards Will Gatward and Jake Allen have experienced first team training in recent weeks and that will hopefully enable them to put some of that short experience into practice, although the difference in quality will be noticeable. Witton will look to climb the table and give themselves a chance of a decent position in the table. Kick off at Moss Farm Leisure Complex is 5pm.
