Table-toppers Witton U21’s look to continue their excellent start to the season when they take on Tranmere Rovers in their first home league game on Sunday evening. The first two games have seen the lads accumulate six points out of six whilst netting nine times in the process. Tranmere Rovers have had a mixed start to their league campaign, beating Willaston 2-1 away from home but then losing by the same score at home to Stockport Town. They will provide Witton with their hardest test so far. The two sides met in a pre season friendly played at Wincham Park where the Wirral-based side won convincingly by four goals to nil but, Albion are looking a more settled team since the start of the season and their performances are evidence of that. Goals are coming from all areas of the pitch and striker Will Gatward has started the season in good form, continuing his pre season performances. A difficult game is in prospect but the team will relish the challenge as they look to extend their winning start. The game is being played at Moss Farm with a 5pm kick off.
