Next Saturday we travel to leaders and potential champions Widnes in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture for a 3pm kick off.
A pretty poor display and given they had 10 men for an hour it was even worse, gave them a very soft goal and then only created 1 chance.
The shape was awful again, some players are not at our level and some look not fit enough!
We gave the ball away often and don’t compete well enough to get into tough games. At the moment I don’t see why Ben, Jim and Jacko don’t start and go back to a pretty solid 5 3 2 given that we haven’t got wingers don’t play them there eg Hooper and Watson.
Luckily results went for us and relegation threatened clubs did not close the gap but we have a tough run of games and we need to be at least resilient.
That was one of the most boring games I have ever watched, no commitment no pace no running off the ball and once again given a soft goal away.
Even Avro’s time wasting keeper said we were crap. Playing like this won’t bring fans in to increase the gates, things need to improve.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the pitch fund collection on Saturday which raised the total of £321.
Thank you as always to Tracey Collins for her amazing efforts.
