Witton complete a run of four successive home games when they welcome Bootle FC to the U Lock It Stadium in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture on Tuesday night.
Two successive home wins against Newcastle Town and Colne FC, have propelled Witton back up to seventh in the table and victory against the Bucks will see them climb to sixth.
The game sees the return of former Albion manager Carl Macauley and Steve McNulty to the U Lock It Stadium for the first time since they departed the club, but now in roles reversed.
Bootle arrive at the U Lock It Stadium in fourteenth place in the table and their form on the road is considerably better than at home, having won five drawn five and losing four of fourteen away games so far.
The Bucks will be looking to complete the double over the Albion following a 2-1 success on Merseyside earlier in the season.
Tom Peterson’s goal just after the half hour gave the Bucks the advantage before Jordan Darlington equalised for the Albion on half time.
As the game approached it’s conclusion, it appeared that the points were going to be shared until Connor Millington struck for the hosts in the final ten minutes.
From those early days at the beginning of the season Witton have made excellent progress and they will be looking to continue in the same manner, in what will be another difficult test.

Should be a very interesting game given Bootle’s mgt! It will be tough and we need to be at our best.
How to solve the central role is the issue for me and it’s not easy given our squad. I think playing Duckworth and Rokka as a two up top not wide and playing Lawrie behind them might work!
Midfield 3 of Haywood, Barrow and Williams plus back 4 of Koral, Harrison, Hitchcox, Kennerley in front of Martin, is the best set up but all the players on the bench are worth a shout for starting. Good luck lads. UTA

Full Time Score from The U Lock It Stadium:
Witton Albion 2 Bootle FC 2.
Witton remain seventh in the table and six points outside the play offs.
This was a patchy display from the Albs, good football at times but very loose also, a draw was a fair result.
Bootle were pressing really well and had willing runners which caused us issues. Losing Williams and Barrow to injury plus missing Fogerty, Hughes and Kennerley was a step too far us sadly.
Still looked out of sorts up front especially but that’s understandable Hughes is a class act to lose.
It doesn’t feel like the play offs are achievable now but, it’s a good squad to build on for next season’s push and at least we are watching exciting football. UTA
UPDATE
Witton Albion Football Club have announced that midfielder Kingsley Williams attended hospital after having to leave the field during the game due to a bang to the head.
Kingsley suffered vision problems in one eye and has now started to improve, but his recovery period is likely to take a few weeks but no timescale for his return has been specified.
Best wishes to Kingsley for a speedy and complete recovery.
I disagree with this CJ, we miss Hughes massively with his goal input I agree but we seem to score pretty much every game. It’s the other end I don’t think we’re anywhere near good enough??
We are the 3rd highest scorers in the league and have the league’s 4th highest scorer in Duckworth.
But I agree we miss someone with him (Hughes and him were perfect), Rokka/McGee are exactly the same flare players.
Runcorn Linnets have still got to play Macc away from home also.
