Witton are in action again on Saturday when they travel to Stalybridge Celtic in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture with a 3pm kick off.
A night to forget, out fought, outplayed no credit from that performance at all.
The shape was awful, Bembo-Leta at right back, not one fan thought that was a good idea.
Taking our best player Brazel off was madness and putting 4 strikers on when we couldn’t win a ball or play a pass in midfield.
We need to stick to what appears to be our best shape 5 3 2, pick the best 2 strikers and let them compete for a place try and get some experience.
In the midfield Brazel, Lawrie holding and maybe Harrop behind the front 2 and right now that would be Garbutt and Hoyle.
Maybe they need the hairdryer approach because We can be better than that, they simply outfought us and threw bodies at shots which we just didn’t!
So desire needs to be shown by every player or show them the door.
I heard Ben before the game saying that Lawrie was either waiting for an x ray or waiting for the results of an x ray but, Ben implied that he wasn’t fit enough to play.
Thanks for the update Derek, we hear very little about things like this.
We could really do with his experience just now.
