Witton complete their pre season preparations when they welcome Premier Division side FC United of Manchester on Friday night.
The management team will be happy with certain aspects of pre season so far, individual performances have been positive but there will also be some areas where they can improve.
FC United have had a testing time as well especially as they have faced league opposition in Exeter City, Bradford City and Salford City respectively.
The game allows Ben Harrison and his staff one final opportunity to cast an eye over his players, ahead of next weekend’s FA Cup tie at home to Cheadle Town.
Some of the new signings have impressed as have certain trialists, who have now earned their chance ahead of the new campaign.
Results haven’t been as good as they would’ve liked but it has allowed them to experiment with various formations and improve fitness.
FC United will provide another difficult test for Witton but they will be hoping to put in a positive performance in the final friendly.
