Witton continue their Emirates FA Challenge Cup campaign on Saturday afternoon, when they welcome FC United of Manchester to the U Lock It Stadium in a First Qualifying Round tie.

The two clubs have met twice before in the competition and both have one victory each to their name with FC United winning 3-1 in the first encounter, and Albion prevailing by the odd goal in three in the most recent meeting back in October 2018 with James Foley & Rob Hopley securing victory for Witton.

Albion striker Joe Duckworth is well-known to the opposition, following his spell there and he will be looking to help his new team overcome his previous employers and continue the run in the competition.

FC United enter the cup at the First Qualifying Round stage whereas Albion have had to overcome a tricky tie against Midland League Tividale, a task which proved more comfortable than it might have been.

A break from league matters and a financial incentive are in front of Witton, and they will be looking to continue their progress in what is a tough game but in cup football anything can happen.

Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 3pm.
