Witton begin their home campaign on Tuesday night when they welcome Glossop North End in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.
Saturday’s opening fixture at Newcastle Town saw Jon Macken’s side return to Cheshire with a point from a tight game and perhaps it should have been more, but with a new-look team it proved to be a decent result.
Glossop finished seventeenth in the West Division last season and kicked off their season with a narrow 1-0 win at home to City of Liverpool FC, so will go into the game in a positive manner and will be tough opponents.
The season ahead will pose challenges of a different kind than Albion have been used to in recent years, but manager Jon Macken will know what faces his team following his experiences at Colne FC and hopefully, that will give the team an insight into what to expect.
Witton will be looking to impose themselves on the game and hopefully, can get the right result but they will have to earn it.
Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 7.45pm.
