Witton return to the U Lock It Stadium on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Hanley Town in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.
Four points on the road from trips to Skelmersdale United and City of Liverpool FC in the last two league games, have given Witton a platform to build on and hopefully push themselves further up the table.
The midweek defeat at North West Counties League neighbours Winsford United proved a disappointment but, bigger priorities lie ahead for Jon Macken’s team, although any cup success is always welcome.
Visitors Hanley Town arrive at the U Lock It Stadium in good form on the road having taken 19 points from eight league games.
Their home form couldn’t be more diifferent as they have failed to pick up a single point in front of their own fans, having lost all seven home gaames.
One familiar face in the Hanley Town squad will be last season’s Manager’s Player of the Year midfielder James Lawrie, who had a change of mind after originally choosing to stay at the U Lock It Stadium this season.
Victory will see Witton climb above Hanley Town in the league table but it will be a difficult game against a team in such good away form, but Albion can only concentrate on their own performance as they bid to get the desired result.
Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 3pm.
