Witton return to league action on Tuesday night when they welcome Hednesford Town in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.
The two side haven’t met since April 2019 when they played out a 1-1 draw at Wincham Park.
This game may not have been taking place at all as it appeared that the Pitmen were not going to be playing this season but a rescue package salvaged their season.
Witton go into the game following a dramatic penalty shootout success at Runcorn Linnets on Saturday in the Isuzu FA Challenge Trophy so will hope to pick up three valuable points tonight.
Hednesford have found life a bit difficult in the early part of the season, having won only once in their opening six games and losing three.
Their only victory though has come on the road so Witton face a tough test and will have to be near the best to get the desired result.
Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 7.45pm.
