Witton Albion v. Lancaster City(PSF)

Witton continue their pre season preparations on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Northern Premier League Premier Division Lancaster City to the U Lock It Stadium.

Following the cancellation of the game against Warrington Rylands, today’s fixture is the team’s penultimate game unless something is arranged before the season starts.

Lancaster have played two pre season games so far losing narrowly to AFC Fylde and a draw with Altrincham so they will be looking forward to getting more game time into their squad.

Witton are slightly further on with their plans but results haven’t been as good as the management team would’ve hoped for.

Lancaster will certainly be a good test for Jon Macken’s squad which is coming together gradually.

A further addition to the squad is defender Ewan McGeady, who has joined following some impressive performances in pre season.

Witton will be looking to improve on past performances and hopefully get their first win but a difficult game is to be expected.

Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 3pm.

Should be a tough test particularly as we have a few defenders missing but a chance for trialists to show what they have.

Good luck UTA

We will have to do better than that, some players are not good enough.

Obviously missing Grogan, Rokka and Duckworth but even so it was pretty poor they walked through us.

Some not fit enough some not good enough! Some work and signings needed, but I’m sure we are working on it. UTA

Is that what’s cost Macken his job?
