We are next in action on Saturday when we travel to Avro FC in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture with a 3pm and kick off.
On a horrible night of weather, Witton Enigma did it again, in a truly all out battle with Lower Breck in a game that was end to end and most of us thought.
They looked the best side we have seen, they obviously have a game plan they are disciplined, aggressive and have pace to spare but Witton won through sheer effort and will it was great to watch.
Starting with a 4 5 1 with Bairstow on the bench I think we feared the worst but the midfield 5 were very good and Hoyle worked his socks off but Breck still looked better and deservedly lead at the break, but then Bairstow emerged from the bench at HT and turned the game on its head with such skill and determination.
The team rose to his lead and we more than looked their equal and deservedly went on to win the match hard to pick a MoM out of that but Hoyle for me with plenty just behind. UTA
Fantastic game last night, Witton deserved the win Ben got his tactics just right with 5 in midfield first half and then bringing on Bairstow on second half to control the game.
Hoyle was back to his best, holding the ball up front and scoring 2 lovely goals he was my MOM but every player worked so hard to win this game.
Let’s hope it continues at Avro on Saturday. ![]()
