I couldn’t make it today.
I know we won 2-0, and the name of the scorers (Jamie Harrison & Matt Doughty) from the Evo-Stick website, but can any one give us a bit more detail???

First half both teams played a mid-table, end-of-season game and few chances were created by either team.
Second half a switch of wings by Botham & Harrison improved the attacking and after about an hour a Jamie Harrison shot from inside the penalty area was destined for the corner flag and hit the Mossley No. 5 and went past the keeper. Five minutes later a good refereeing decision gave Witton the second when the hapless No.5 pulled Titchener back and Doughty took a poor penalty that just crossed the line.
Jamie Harrison should have made it three in injury time but shot straight at the keeper with the goal at his mercy.
MOM for me: Ian Kearney.
GE
Their no 5 scored one and made one but my mom would be Titch although that’s from an end on perspective.
Having missed several games I enjoyed this but it was not a classic.
However we played some good football and deserved the win, a good team performance.
The ref did quite well especially to give the penalty after seeming to play an advantage which we didn’t take.
Yes a good workmanlike win not much between the teams as the 3-3 draw at Mossley shows but today we deserved the win, defence did ok missing gardener ( injured ) at right full back and id like to see matt woods at left back instead of doughty, ben and kerns looked good at centre back till ben went off injured, botham had a quiet game for him, harrison looked ok but no pete heler and the midfield pair macca and osullivan worked hard and kept the impetus thoughout but we missed the quality of a maguire in the middle ( any one know how he is doing with his injury ) up front foulkes looked completely out of place leaving the excellent titchener to do the hard work and provide the threat, for someone of 6 -3 foulkes is hopeless in the air so please dont put him upfront again (kinsey is back from suspension now ), enough of the moaning a good and welcome win lets hope we can get a run going, see you at prescott ?
Hope you win the " Sit in the dugout " prize on the new Albion Lottery CJ,it could be interesting.
Like TT could not make the match ( too drained after watching the Manchester Derby - what a goal from Rooney - saw Dave Carrick score one better than that at the Central Ground )
A win is a win and it lifts us up tp 8th !
Wasn’t there yesterday, but am a bit shocked by the lack of enthusiasm on here!
We have beaten a decent Mossley side, kept a clean sheet, and have also been picking up points away from home.
We are putting a decent little unbeaten run together.
The team seems settled and well organised.
There’s lots to feel positive about - but i guess that just isn’t the Witton way!!
Eli
I wouldnt sit on the bench would get too wound up, anyway I thought my notes were fair and to the point, foulkes is a midfield player and looked lost up front not a criticsm of him and I prefer woods at left back based on what ive seen so a far and actually like Robbo I was well pleased with the win and workmanlike is a positive description in my view how many times have united won ugly this season, I think if we get all the players fit and raring to go we will be a top 5 side but have now left it too late I think for this season. if they think that is criticism they should try working for my boss !
I’ve not seen the last 4 matches due to family issues associated with having an elderly mum!! I agree with most of what CJ has said it was a very workmanlike win where we lacked the quality of Kinsey and Maquire but the lads more than made up for it with great work rate and hard graft!! It was my first look at Titch and I can see why eveyone is raving about him. He has vision, pace, a fantastic engine and looks as though he could score a barrowload with someone like Kinsey alongside him. I hope we can continue his loan right up till the end of the season. Also like the look of Sullivan who has a great work rate. As CJ says get a full side out there and we are a top five side its just unfotunate that our lowly budget means we don’t have strength in depth. I’m happy with our management team of Macca, Pritch and Nige doing the coaching backed up by Murph and Oggie if he’s on the end of the phone so keep it going lads.
I remember the Dave Carrick goal Eli, think it was against Wigan Athletic and agree Corky 's goal was better than Rooney’s though to be fair it was a great goal from the overpaid one. Carrick was just magic for those younger one’s who never saw him you missed one of the most skilful flamboyant players I’ve ever seen a guy who could and did win matches on his own for the Albion. I know big Chad loved Corky Carrick and so did I a real legend.
I also enjoyed the company of an old time player Saturday, Wilf Berry. Wilf was a 17 year old Centre forward faced with the impossible task of competing with “Sir” Frank Fidler. Wilf is an extremely humble guy with lots of stories to tell about the old days. Wilf mate your welcome anytime at the home of football Wincham Park really enjoyed your company Saturday.
Onward and upward!! 3 points at “Desolution Row” Prescot Saturday is crucial lets keep going lads
Forget to mention Corky Carricks goal, yes it was better than rooneys further out, higher up, more acrobatic, and right in the top corner the best goal I have ever seen by anyone at any level and he was my favourite all time player too a real character and full of life and skill to match I doubt we will see the likes of him again at Witton a once in a life time player at non league level. What a sad loss he was at so young an age, have still got his testimonial programme.
Dave Carrick was so good even my labrador dog wanted and did go to pay homage at his testimonial !
