Witton Albion v. Mossley AFC

I’m on hols in sunny Spain at the moment, but as always, “watched” the game on the forum - thanks Wheels for making this possible :sunglasses: :+1:t2:

Decent crowd, penalty save early doors, then to come back from behind to win the game? As they say over here, “Perfecto!”

Good start to the season - let’s keep it going! UTA :soccer: :+1:t2:

As suspected a tough game, Mossley were decent but Witton were much better than Saturday and battled hard and eventually our better football payed off with 2 decent goals following good work by Lawrie.

Still not at our best I think but more game time for Hughes and a tough workout as Mossley put it about a bit. My mom Lawrie. UTA

A lot better performance from Witton last night coming from behind against a decent team.

I thought we battled hard and played some lovely football at times.

The team looked more balanced than Saturday with Jim Lawrie back in the midfield, he is quality.

Good response after Saturday, fully deserved the 3 points.

Really good game to watch between two good sides. I think Mossley will be there abouts come the end of the season.

Agree Lawrie was excellent but I think Hitchcox deserves a mention.

Just shows the feeling around the club at the moment when we get 450 for a midweek game.

Long may it continue.

Much better performance than last Saturday, with the win coming courtesy of goals from our two fullbacks.

Mossley made us battle hard and will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season if they continue with that form.

For me MOM was a toss-up between Jim Lawrie and Ollie Hitchcox

Apart from our two goals, my Moment of the Match was the dummy sold by Lawrie in the second half when he feigned to take the ball, but let it pass inside the full back with Jim going on his outside and collecting the ball again.

Roll on Saturday!
