Witton welcome Newcastle Town to the Bedspace Trust Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon in their second Saturday home game of the season.
Results during the week have seen Witton drop out of the play off places for now but they do have games in hand on some of those above them.
A draw in midweek at home to Padiham was disappointing but in the end could prove to be an important point.
Newcastle Town sit thirteenth in the table and have one of the league’s leading scorers in Luca Whitney, who has twelve goals in all competitions including hat-tricks in both of their last two away league games.
A familiar face to Witton fans is Harry Bower who has made an impact for the Staffordshire club this season, so will be looking to get one over his former team today.
Personnel changes this week have seen the return of attacking wide player Deji Sotona, who teams up with his brother Damola once again. He performed very well during his previous spell at the club and will be hoping to pick up where he left off.
One player who leaves us is James Hooper, who is stepping away from the game for the time being. He performed well for the club and will be missed but we have to move on.
Newcastle Town have done well in games against Witton in recent times, winning three of the last four meetings including completing the league double last season.
Under the guidance of experienced manager Neil Baker, they will be difficult opponents and will pose problems for Ben Harrison and his team so Witton will have to be at their best to get anything from the game.
Kick off at the Bedspace Trust Community Stadium is 3pm.
