Witton return to league action on Tuesday night following a blank weekend, when they welcome new-boys Padiham in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.
The Storks were promoted via the play offs in the North West Counties Premier Division after finishing fourth at the end of the 2025/26 season.
They currently sit fifteenth in the table and have won three of their twelve league games so far, twice on the road including a nine-goal thriller at Wythenshawe.
Their last game saw them draw 2-2 at 1874 Northwich on Saturday after being two goals up, one of the goals coming from Reece Webb-Foster their joint top scorer with four goals.
The fixture will be the fifth meeting between the two clubs so will hopefully be an interesting encounter.
The previous four meetings were way back around the early 1900s, both teams have two wins.
The Lancashire club have four players in their squad who will be familiar to Witton fans, well most of them anyway.
Wing-back Lee Pugh, midfielders Kingsley Williams and Oli Roberts, striker Joel Brownhill completes the quartet.
A tough game is to be expected and Witton will need to be at their best in order to get the desired result.
Kick off at the Bedspace Trust Community Stadium is 7.45pm.
