Witton drop three places to eleventh following today’s results.

Listening to Ben’s post-match interview with Karl, he was very subdued and didn’t know what to say.
He was pleased with a lot of the performance but wasn’t happy that we gave away three bad goals and the timing of them.
We played pretty well but wasted chances and really gave Shifnal 3 goals by really bad defending.
We missed Ebhote badly and it seemed to me that When Shifnal did subs they improved, when we did subs we were worse.
Taking off Hoyle and Hamman did us no favours at all!
That was 3 points gifted away.
Yes it was definitely a case of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Really we should have had the game sewn up by half-time.
With regard to the substitutions, I guess it’s a balancing act between giving the younger players some game time and making sure we secure a result.
Given our habit of leaking soft goals, perhaps we needed a bigger cushion than 1 goal before making the substitutions.
