Witton Albion v. Sporting Khalsa

Witton bring the curtain down on another season when they welcome relegation-threatened Sporting Khalsa to the U Lock It Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Midlands-based team have their destiny in their own hands following their 3-0 victory over Atherton Collieries last weekend but could also be affected by events involving Congleton Town.

They have won their last three games without conceding a goal so will not make it easy for the Albion.

Witton still have an outside chance of finishing eighth in the table but results elsewhere will have a bearing on that.

Eight wins in the last twelve games have propelled Albion into the top ten and their aim will be to end the campaign with three more points.

Last weekend’s defeat at Bury was a disappointment but showed the strength in the Shakers squad, although we competed well and actually took the lead, but they are likely to be crowned Champions this weekend although Avro might have something to say about that.

The reverse fixture saw the two teams play out a 2-2 draw, after Witton had gone into a two-goal lead courtesy of goals from Joe Duckworth and leading goalscorer Freddy Garbutt.

The club have received a massive boost this week with the news that striker Tom Hoyle and midfielder Joe Edwards have committed to the club for another season, with hopefully more to come.

Witton will face a tough test from the Midlanders as they have a lot to play for with their place in the division at stake, and will have to perform in order to get the right result.

Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 3pm.

That’s a great gesture - but I’m STILL waiting to receive the Season Ticket for THIS season, which I paid for at the beginning of the season.

All my emails to the club have fallen on deaf ears.

Knowing that, no longer living in Weaverham, a 300 mile round trip to Wincham Park means I’m not going to make many games, is it worth me renewing my Season Ticket every year just to support the club from afar by paying for a ticket?

I’m wondering if the club really cares…

There are plenty at the club who do care. If you renew for next season I will ensure you get a season ticket and a gift to apologise for this season. UTA

Well sadly I’m missing for this one! But hope it’s a cracking end to the season.

Khalsa need the win but would be great to finish with a win, hopefully a full squad apart from Alfie Bairstow so I would go

Terry

Cook, Ebhote, Dutton-Kelly, Bembo-Leta

Lawrie

Hamman, Brazel, Edwards

Garbutt, Hoyle

Good luck everyone. UTA
