Witton Albion v. Stafford Rangers

Witton look to make it three league wins in a week as they welcome Stafford Rangers to the U Lock It Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

A dominant performance in midweek, saw Albion come away from Newcastle Town with three excellent points and they will hoping to keep the winning run going.

Stafford currently sit just above the bottom four in the table going into the weekend following a run of mixed results in recent weeks.

The two teams haven’t met since the 2021/22 season, the last meeting being in March 2022 a game that saw Rangers leave Wincham Park with a 1-0 win courtesy of a Jake Charles goal.

Four of the last five games between the two have ended in draws, so another close game could be on the cards once again.

Witton haven’t beaten Stafford since the 2017 season when they won 4-0 at Marston Road, so will be looking to put that right.

Whilst the Witton management team look to put the best possible team available out the pitch, selection is not easy with the current injury situation but they’re managing it as best as they can.

The form of loan signing Reece Daly has been encouraging in recent games and he has given the team the bonus of goals,

Isaac Graham has fitted in nicely in his short time at the club and is proving to be a good acquisition to the squad.

Games are still coming thick and fast and Witton will be looking to climb the table as they push for the business end.

Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 3pm.

Games are coming thick and fast, be interesting to see if we can get a win and into the top half of the table.

It’s a strange league, very flat with nothing between relegation and play off spots.

Team-wise hard to think of any changes to the start line up that started v Newcastle, the team has found a rhythm and style that is working.

Good luck lads. UTA
