FA Cup Full Time Score: Congleton Town 0 Bootle 0.

Our Northern Premier League West Division fixture at Bootle scheduled for Tuesday night is now Postponed.

Thanks Wheels for updates a brilliant result.

Sounds like things are slowly coming together! Great result which I presume brings a little money into the coffers?

So disappointed that the Bootle game is off on Tuesday - would have been good to keep things going now that we’ve found our feet.

Can someone give a balanced assessment of how we played today?

Up the Albion!:soccer::sunglasses::clap::+1:

Reading the updates from Simmo, Witton virtually settled the tie in a 20 minute spell going three up.

It sounds like Tividale had their moments but only briefly and didn’t really trouble Ollie Martin too much although, they did strike the woodwork.

A good solid performance from Witton today a bit scrappy at times, but we never gave up. Tividale goal was over the line for a throw in for us but ref played on for them to score.

We definitely deserved the win, signs of some good football to come hopefully an easy draw in the next round to bring some more money in.

£1,444 for this win, minimum of £750 from the next round (£2,250 for the winners, £750 for the losers).

Good performance, especially in the first half when we took our goals well.

Let them come into it a bit in the second half.
The move from which they scored started with a foul on a Witton player, but we should probably have cleared the danger anyway.

Pleased with the way we responded to conceding the goal, getting our 4th to avoid a potentially nervous 15 minutes or so.

A good performance and a great result. Every player gave 100% and the team is beginning to blend. We played some good football and were worthy winners.

The game was wrapped up in the first half and we were cruising in the second half. It really is looking very promising and I anticipate us having a very good season. UTA

A very good win, played some lovely football and provided the finish to match. Interesting line up something between 451 and 433 but suited the players and style!

How good were the opposition, certainly robust in the challenge but we just passed it around and through them, you can only beat what’s in front of you.

The team is gelling nice to watch I think everyone enjoyed the day. UTA

Enjoyed the game played really well, nice attitude. They came out stronger 2nd half but we held out quite well.

Think the more games we play the better we will become. Looking forward to the next game already.

Well done to everyone, nice to see some ‘‘spies’’ from Barnton reserves, sorry 1874! Whatever that stands for!

Great game, we scored at the right time and in the second half young Duckie went around the goalie as if he wasn’t there.

Great team performance, eveybody played their part in what we all know could have been a tricky tie.
