Witton Albion v. Trafford FC

A historic moment on Tuesday night when Witton welcome Trafford FC to the U Lock It Stadium in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.

The first game to be played under the new floodlights and the chance to win successive home league games for the first time this season.

Trafford go into the game looking for their first point of the season following eight successive defeats.

The two meetings between the two teams saw Trafford win at the U Lock It Stadium by the only goal, whilst Witton prevailed in the return fixture at Shawe View courtesy of goals from Nick Hepple and James Hooper.

An excellent result against Mossley on Saturday will have given Witton confidence going into the game but despite their current situation, Trafford will still provide a difficult challenge.

Three points will allow Witton to climb to a mid table position and widen the gap between themselves and the lower reaches of the division.

With two tough away games to come against Newcastle Town and Stafford Rangers respectively, Witton will be looking to make the most of the opportunity to pick up three vital points but Trafford will be looking to get their season up and running.

Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 7.45pm.
