Witton return to the U Lock It Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they welcome Norther Premier League Warrington Rylands in the first of two games in three days.
Jon Macken’s squad suffered their first defeat in pre season at Winsford United on Tuesday night, but it allowed the management team the opportunity to experiment and to cast a further eye over players who could come into consideration ahead of the new season.
Warrington Rylands have had a steady start to pre season although they were beaten by North West Counties League side Lower Breck in midweek.
One familiar face who will be returning to the U
Lock It Stadium is former Albion Physio Carl Rutter, now looking after Warrington Rylands squad following sterling service during his time at Witton.
Witton face another tough examination in this game but the important thing is match fitness and working on various aspects in readiness for the challenges ahead.
Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 3pm.
