Witton Albion v. Winsford Town(Reg Hardingham Memorial Trophy)

Witton continue their pre season preparations on Saturday afternoon when they welcome our friends from Winsford Town.

The two teams will be contesting the inaugural Reg Hardingham Memorial Trophy in memory of a tremendous and well respected servant of the club.

The game also sees the return of a legendary figure in Winsford Town player manager Rob Hopley, who graced the Wincham Park pitch with great distinction during his time with the club.

His first step into management couldn’t have gone any better as he achieved promotion with them at the first time of asking.

Results-wise Witton haven’t seen the best of starts with two defeats from two games, but the management team will be hoping to improve the players fitness and work on different formations.

With so many different players things will take time but that is what pre season is all about.

Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 3pm.
