Witton face another massive game on Saturday afternoon when they welcome fellow strugglers Wythenshawe Town to the U Lock It Stadium.
Albion had the chance to move out of trouble on Tuesday night against Hanley Town, in a game they controlled for long periods only to lose It in the last few minutes.
Their first goal in four games would have been a relief but the signs were worrying once again that they weren’t able to hold on.
Player manager Ben Harrison’s inclusion for the first time since the end of last season was an interesting but welcome one, as his experience would surely be of great benefit to the younger players.
The two clubs go into the game in eighteenth and nineteenth places respectively, and are only separated by goal difference but Wythenshawe Town do have a game in hand.
The return fixture at Ericstan Park earlier in the season saw Town come out on top with a convincing 4-1 win with Mamadou Djabi on target for the Albion.
There could be some familiar faces within the Wythenshawe Town team with goalkeeper Greg Hall likely to feature, whilst Town are also managed by former Albion midfielder Rory Fallon.
Witton are now on a winless run stretching back to October and they need to start picking up points if they are to climb out of the relegation places.
No better time than this game to start putting a run together but they need to improve on their all round game if that is to happen.
Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 3pm.
