Having been to the last 2 friendlies against Mold and Barnton I’ve got to say in terms of looking at what our team might be its been difficult to draw any conclusions. Its obviously very early doors and we’ve used loads of players which is to be expected as you have to look at everyone. I’m not too concerned at this point as we look to have some useful players but I am hoping that for maybe 20 minutes tonight we play what we think will be our strongest team so we can get an idea of how we can compete. With this in mind I would go for -:
Roberts, Gardener, Dawson, Lycett, Chadwick in defence,
Jones, Diskin,Andrews, Baker in midfield
Stotty and Titch up front or Cropper if he’s available.
As I say if this is just for 20 minutes it would give us an idea because its just my opinion but those lads would be the strongest 11 or 12 from what I’ve seen so far. I’m sure we do need to continue to look at the other lads though and give them a chance to impress and the result does’nt matter. However in terms of building confidence I hope we start winning a few friendlies soon. Sure our management team have this all in mind though even if I’m not right about the starting eleven!!
Don’t think we have a “Jones” Mona ? But know what you mean - nice to see a strongish 11 out ! I think Gary Roberts will be a starter in centre mid but not sure who with and not sure about the left mid spot either so for me all to play for and 3-4 players for front 2 spot. UTA
