An excellent result against such strong opposition.

1st Friendly I have seen - overall I think we worked our socks off and there were a lot of positives.

The first half was quite even in terms of play, but we scored a good goal to take the lead. 2nd half Alty had more possession but we competed for everything and created (and missed) a couple of great chances to extend our lead. The players look sharp already and I think we have more presence on the pitch than last year. The big number 8 (sorry don’t know his name!) looks like he could provide the steel we have lacked in midfield.

Shaping up nicely

Some friendlies are a bit of a waste of time - that one wasn’t. I missed the Barnton game but compared to Mold that was a huge step up. Good performances and a good balance to the team. Roll on the stuff that counts.

A very impressive performance, especially in the first half. It was good to see every player putting in a full shift, all the players never stopped running, some of the passing was excellent. The goalkeeper looks more than capable pulling off a couple of superb saves. The defence looked pretty comfortable and were not troubled too much. The midfield had a lot of bite and sharpness and the strikers looked sharp.
So in conclusion i can see us having a very good season on tonight’s performance. Scott could have a problem of who to leave out, because of the competition for places.
It, in my opinion looks good for this coming season and ALL Wittoner’s should get down to watch the team from the season’s start and get behind the team in real vocal support.

Couldn’t have said it better Albion forever ! A very good display, and a very competetive friendly enjoyed it greatly, we seem to have a decent 11 and players pushing to get in that 11 that’s a good position to be in. UTA
