Witton welcome fellow Play Off hopefuls Ashton United to The NetDec Stadium on Saturday afternoon, in a re arranged Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. The original fixture was postponed early in December due to the weather and will be Witton’s first league outing, since their memorable victory over leaders Altrincham on New Year’s Day. The Robins are enjoying a successful campaign so far and are currently on an unbeaten run of nine games going into the weekend. Both clubs have had disruptions to their squads in recent weeks, losing players to injury but have continued to perform and keep up the challenge for the top places. Previous meetings between the two clubs have produced goals and entertainment so, it is to be hoped that this encounter follows the same pattern. Witton will be looking to edge closer to the teams currently occupying the Play Off spots whilst Ashton will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run. A tough encounter is to be expected. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 3pm.
