Well both Bambers goals were defensive mistakes though they were the better side on the night really. The control turn and shot by Jay which glanced off the bar was brilliant and we did have other chances but hey ho!

I thought Bamber had the better of the midfield battle, whilst we always looked dangerous up front. we could/should have had a penalty just before they scored. Overall a fairly even game that Bamber just shaded.

A good game of football on a really difficult pitch. There are a number of “soft spots” on the pitch after all the rain, that make controlling and passing difficult, so I wouldn’t be too harsh on judging any mistakes.

Agree with most of whats been said with us missing Schofield we seem to lose the centre midfield battle and Bamber played some neat quick football 2 or 3 players caught the eye. A couple of mistakes let them in for both goals and it could so easily have gone to Witton but Bamber road there luck well and probably shaded it, just shows how small a squad we are running with hard to fill gaps through injury or suspension without hurting the quality. Glad it was in a cup that was not a priority get back to form on saturday with a win over Glossop ? UTA
