Witton Albion vs Boston United (FAT3Q).

The club have received advance notification that Boston United will be bringing a sizeable following with them on Saturday. This is our biggest game in quite a while and the club and the players need our support more than ever. Let’s help to push them that bit further and hopefully get them through to the next round, for the first time in a while. We’ve done it already this season - Buxton, Brighouse, Colwyn Bay & Kettering let’s help get the lads through again. #UTA.

the lads need all the support they can get Saturday.massive game and don’t want to be out sung by the away support .UTA

Sizable following? What does that mean? They had 85 fans at Fylde on Saturday and judging by comments on their forum about them probably resting a few players at Witton i doubt theres going to be anymore than the 85 coming on Saturday which don’t get me wrong that’s a lot more than we usually get but i wouldnt go crazy ordering hundreds of pies :pie

The initial information that Glynis received was round about 100 which is reasonable considering the number of away supporters we normally get and Boston average just over 1000 at home games. The stewards are predicting 70-80 but who knows. We still need as many Wittoners there as we can get, it could make all the difference.

Definitely we need a good home support to get behind the lads, any crowd below 400 would be disappointing so bring a friend if possible and come and have a couple of beers in the Social club to get the vocal chords wet.

i’d be more than happy if they brought 85 on saturday,we have’nt had that many all season.

Looking forward to this game, a game we can win with the team we have. It’s a team that plays for each other and their work rate is second to none, they never give up. So let’s have as many Witton fans as possible to give the team some real vocal support. The players will be up for it , so us fans should be. UTA

Witton welcome Vanarama National League North Boston United to The NetDec Stadium on Saturday, as they bid to reach the First Round of the FA Trophy for the first time since 2006. Carl Macauley’s side can go into the game in confident mood having already disposed of higher-ranked Kettering Town in the previous round but will be taking nothing for granted. The Pilgrims arrive at The NetDec Stadium on the back of a hammering at league leaders AFC Fylde last weekend but will be looking to put that behind them, as they seek progress in non league’s premier cup competition. The fixture will be the first time that the two clubs have met in the Trophy and their first competitive meeting of any kind since the 2007/08 season when The Pilgrims ran out 2-1 winners. Witton will be looking to continue their good form this season especially at home whilst Boston will be hoping to avoid becoming another casualty at Albion’s expense. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 3pm.

Have just received notification from Jeff Metcalf regarding the game tomorrow. The pitch is in perfect condition and with the weather forecast for tomorrow set to be better than today, there are no plans for a pitch inspection following discussions with the Groundstaff and a local referee.
