Witton Albion vs Bottesford Town (FA Cup First Qualifying Round).

Witton begin their Emirates FA Challenge Cup campaign on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Bottesford Town to Wincham Park in the First Qualifying Round. The Poachers as they are affectionately known, play in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division and are based in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. Bottesford have already negotiated two rounds to reach this stage, beating Radford 3-1 at home in the Extra Preliminary Round and then knocking out Evo-Stik East Division Loughborough Dynamo 4-2 in Leicestershire. The club were only founded in 1974 and haven’t reached this stage of the competition since the 2010/11 season when they went out to fellow Evo-Stik Premier Division Buxton. The club currently sit fifteenth in their respective league but have only played three league games so far. Their latest result saw them progress to the next stage of the Buildbase FA Vase in midweek, beating Leicester Road FC 2-1 following a 1-1 draw last weekend. Witton will be looking to put on a performance following a really disappointing result in midweek against Marine and they will also be wanting to progress further in this year’s competition following the early exit they suffered last year against South Shields. Should the tie be drawn, the replay is scheduled for Wednesday night at Bottesford Town 's Birkdale Park Ground with a 7.45pm kick off.
