Sad to say another home game I shall miss, at Old Trafford courtesy of my son Andy to watch Warrington FINALLY win the Premiership Trophy. Worse record than Witton and Spurs, not won it for 61 years!! All the best to the Albs, ONWARD AND UPWARDS :clap :clap :clap

Witton take a break from league action on Saturday when they welcome Brighouse Town to The NetDec Stadium in the Preliminary Round of the Buildbase FA Trophy. The Yorkshire club have made an excellent start to the season and currently top the Evo-Stik Division One North having won seven of their first nine league games to date. The two clubs have met twice before, last season’s league meetings saw Albion complete the double over Town before our re-location to the South at the end of the campaign. Prior to that, Brighouse had also begun last season in fine form and Witton were the first team to beat them in a league fixture, 4-1 at The NetDec Stadium. Yorkshire clubs always provide tough opposition and this game is expected to be no different. The winners of the tie face a trip to either Hyde United or Colwyn Bay in the next round but that is for the future as both clubs focus on the matter in hand. Should the game be drawn, the replay is scheduled for Monday night at Brighouse with a 7.45pm kick off. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 3pm.

A good run in the FA TROPHY would boost confidence no end, so i propose, no beg all stay away Witton fans to forget the reasons they have stopped watching Witton and get down to the NET DEC stadium on Saturday and cheer the lads on. After all there are no Premier league matches being played, so no excuses for not attending. I promise you that you will be surprised and delighted at the commitment and football produced by this group of players. So let’s get behind the team and move this club forward. UTA
Here’s hoping for a win and a good gate today. Sadly I shall only be there in spirit.
