Wretched back luck with injuries. Buxton looked very good, efficient in what they did and were not frightened to stop us building any momentum second half.

First time I’ve watched their full back Sean Newton live and he looked a class act. JJ came on and caused them problems and big Will Jones put his usual and hard working perfomance in.

Anyway nice to see a good crowd and Buxton fans in good spirits making plenty of trips to the social club.

UPDATE

Ben Pleavin missed the game because of a hamstring injury whilst Josh Wardle came off with a knee problem. No further news on either at the present time.

It is hoped that Rob Hopley should be available for Tuesday night’s trip to Atherton Collieries.

Not there today, but having been a Wittoner for nearly 50 years I really worry for the future of the club. I hope I’m proved wrong.

After Wardle going off I thought Okome and Mfuni both did well at centre half and can be pleased with their individual performances. Foley also worked hard, the rest left a lot to be desired.

It didn’t look good seeing Wardle on crutches as the second half kicked off and only hope that’s precautionary more then necessary.

Many speccies say Buxton are the best team at Wincham Park this season. I think so but Scarborough were also very impressive. Thought our ex player showed great respect and professionalism leading his team to victory.
