Witton Albion vs Buxton.

Witton return to Wincham Park on Tuesday evening when they welcome Buxton in a re arranged Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. The original fixture being postponed due to the weather about a month ago. The Bucks are currently ninth in the table nine points outside the Play offs and with games in hand on the teams above. They suffered a 2-1 reverse at the hands of Hednesford Town at the weekend but have only lost three out of fourteen away games so far, seven of them ending all square. Witton now begin a run of five home fixtures from their next six league games, so have an opportunity to improve on their home form after three victories without conceding a goal within the last week or so. They also have the chance to complete the double over their opponents following the 5-0 success earlier in the season at Silverlands, a game which saw Albion’s biggest win of the season upto this point. The team can go into the game with confidence from their excellent performance and result last Saturday at league leaders Farsley Celtic and who knows, there maybe still an outside chance of the play offs. Buxton will prove tough opposition and Witton will need to continue the same level of performance if they are to take all three points from another tough challenge. Kick off at Wincham Park is 7.45pm.
