Cammell Laird score a pen.
I’m glad they scored their pen tonight rather than the one they had on Friday!!

Is that how it finsihed? 2-1 to Witton.
WHS.

A morale boosting victory, well done lads, does it come with a cheque?

Final score:

Witton Albion 2-1 Cammell Laird

Another win - played ok till they scored from a penalty after Greg Smith mishandled and Pritch’s desperate tackle. Super Mike looked a bit liveler tonight and scored a good goal. Crowd 102 which is apparently Witton’s lowest ever, but it was a League Cup game and a bad night weather wise.
Not too bad compared to over the canal 393 for a FA Trophy game v York City.

Roll on Sat.

First game ive been to in some time. I loved it. It Was great to see witton playing as a team again. Im a little bit drunk at the mo! Love it!

A good hard fought game, in difficult conditions, we played some good football at times against a team who knock the ball around well. We still have a habit of knocking the ball high in a panic, and win very few of the headers playing like that, the good thing about last night was that we won more of the second balls than we have done in the past, and two good moves, played on the floor resulted in two good goals, I thought thommo and mike linked up well, and olsen had a great first half. Overall a good performance, more of the same on sat please. By the way was blackie injured, or rested for sat, does anybody know?

Stuart

Black was cup tied from an earlier round with Colwyn Bay.

Thought Moseley was immense for the first hour last night, it was as much his work off the ball as on it. Super ball for the first goal, great left foot finish for the second and should have scored another (probably had too much time). One of the differences certainly last night was the work ethic from both Mike and Thomo.

Pritch didn’t have a lot of choice for the pen, either risk the tackle and bring him down or do nothing! The shot that rebounded off Smith was a good one and impossible to hold on to in the wet conditions.

We’ll need to be better to beat Bradford on Saturday but beat them we must!!! Plenty of encouraging signs from the players that Gary has brought in. We do need to get a settled 11 though, you can see what a difference it makes by having players in their regular positions (Pritch and Booth as a pair are starting to look very solid).

Also good to see Gary Scott come through a solid 90 minutes, he is one player of genuine class in the side.

Glad to hear the news about the positive result, but why wasn’t it publicised on the website? I checked specifically yesterday but the next game shown was Saturday’s. No wonder the crowd was low!
Anyway lets hope the winning momentum continues.

Must have been difficult to find, as it was only on the home page! As previously stated, I have very little time to update the site at present, this has been exacerbated by circumstances which make it quite difficult for me to even access the internet at the moment, nevertheless this is one thing that was up to date!

And of course I have been absolutely inundated with offers of help to keep aspects of the site up to date after my requests, the response has overwhelming so I’m sorry I haven’t got back to everyone yet.

(Ed, if you read this, I will get back to you, thanks for your offer the other week

Only saw the first half of the game last night but thought we did ok. Good finish’s by Mike and Smith. Massive game on Saturday so get down to WP and lets make some noise.

Mike i should be able to give you some help on the website, I’ll PM you later in the week.
