Witton welcome Carlton Town to The NetDec Stadium on Tuesday evening in another crucial Evo-Stik Division One South fixture. The Millers are one of only four teams to take maximum points from the Albion this season despite their lowly position and arrive at The NetDec Stadium having lost eleven of their nineteen away games so far. Witton will be looking to avoid a repeat of that as they continue their pursuit of Shaw Lane in what is a hectic week. Carlton will hope to build on their win at the weekend as they aim to put distance between themselves and the teams below them, and will provide Albion with another tough test. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 7.45pm.
Parking: The Car Park is past the Social Club on the right.
Admission Prices: Adults £9, Concessions £6, Students £4, Under 15s (Admitted FREE with WAITC “Kids Go Free” Season Tickets).
Matchday Programme: £2.
The Social Club will be open from 6pm.
Social Club Access: Before the game, the Social Club is accessible by way of the main entrance ONLY. From half time onwards the Social Club is accessible from inside the stadium via a passageway within the main stand. Alcohol is permitted inside the stadium but MUST be in a plastic beaker.
Refreshments: Food is available from the Tea Bar inside the stadium.
Please note: As the Social Club is now a full-time food preparation area, dogs are not permitted inside the building - with the exception of assistance dogs (hearing & visually impaired).
Let’s not underestimate or disrespect Carlton Town. They were stubborn when we played them for 77 minutes before & we shouldn’t be giving them an incentive before a ball is kicked.
GE
Though I agree, I think we should try to rest players for the two tough games to come, home to Spalding and away at Shaw Lane. Maybe using all our subs as soon as possible is all we can do safely.
WHS.
I think you have to do as GE suggests - RESPECT the opposition and make decisions as required during the game. we have no right to win these games, we have to play like our lives depended on it and earn the result. If we are able to make any other decisions on the back of that, then so be it. But first we have to win the game. Nothing less. Expect a soft game and we will pay the price, so don’t even go there !!!
Let’s hope we’ve got Prince and Tom back for Tuesday, anyone know where they were yesterday?
We’ve got to deal with them crosses better than we did yesterday. If anyone from carlton or Spalding was watching yesterday they’ll be sure to take their chances
I know it’s tough for the lads with this huge backlog of games and all we can ask is they do their best
We should put out our strongest team to go for the win, which is what we need to keep the momentum going. These players would not be happy to be rested, they are ready and up for the games ahead and would not be happy not to play. They have done a brilliant job to get us where we are and seem to thrive on the prospect of taking part.Good luck boys. UTA
Four games in a week is asking a lot. Premier League players moan when they have two!! We have a hard run-in re games to play, we need to conserve the strength of the older players if we can.

I really really love Belper Town (even though they have tonked us last two times we have visited them, I only went to the first one), and I am backing them to bounce back from losing by the odd six goals at the weekend tomorrow night against Shaw Lane…
I hope that we go for it from the start tomorrow night and keep the pressure on Carlton throughout the 90 minutes to get the 3 points. This team has earned the right to be champions, so us fans need to get behind the ream like never before. I see us winning 3-1, with hope fully Shaw Lane dropping points and us going to the top of the league. UTA
Unfortunately we can’t take our foot off the gas we need to keep going. I watched Carlton a couple of weeks back on our ground. They are a big side who lump it up the middle with little or no finesse. These teams are dangerous because if you don’t focus they could get a result via a lucky rebound or a penalty or something like that . I think we should play a high line against then and stop them lumping the ball up the middle but I know our lads despite having to play so many games will be in there mixing it and will get the result we need.
I really do hope we don’t appear in the play offs they are something of a lottery. You only have to look at the Chester game earlier this season. You only need a bad referee and decisions can go against you on the day. I think the play offs are a complete nonsense how many times have we seen the 4th or 5th team go up at the expense of the 2nd or 3rd teams. You could make out a case if there were only 2 or 3 points separating the top 5 but this season Us and Shaw Lane are miles ahead of all the others and it would be a travesty if either one of us missed out but we won’t with these lads!! Is it worth getting some camp beds set up in the club so the lads don’t have to go home tonight? That’s how ridiculous the crazy fixture list is this week!! Onward and Upward UTA!!
My thoughts entirely, we went up from third but failed twice when second in the last few years. It is a LEAGUE not a Knockout we are playing in. Brings in cash for some of the big clubs but not down at our level, should be stopped ASAP.
WHS.
Looks like Rushden to me as they play Carlton at home last game. They will bring a big following, even on a Tuesday night. But if we play anything like we can and have everyone fit you would have to fancy us. UTA
