Cup football takes centre stage for the next two games as Witton take a break from the Northern Premier League, starting with a visit from League One Crewe Alexandra in the First Round of the Cheshire Senior Cup on Wednesday night following the postponement of the original game due to Covid 19.
Four wins from the last four games has seen Witton get closer to the leaders in the league which has given them confidence and that’s showing in the performances as well as the results.
The game gives Carl & Gary the opportunity to have a look at players who are short of game time in recent weeks and the two new signings Michael Ellery and Rocco Fregapane will also boost the competition for places in what has become a very competitive squad.
They will be hoping to continue their winning run and will be giving everything to try and achieve that but it will be a tough test against full-time opponents.
Should the game be drawn after normal time, the tie will be decided on penalties so anything can happen.
Kick Off at Wincham Park is 7.45pm.
