Witton will be looking to continue their improved home form which has seen them win three of their last four games at Wincham Park, when they welcome Grantham Town on Saturday afternoon in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. The Gingerbreads find themselves in seventeenth place in the table going into Saturday’s game and have struggled for consistency particularly away from home. Their current away record has seen them lose nine out of sixteen league games on the road, four out of the last five. Since they won at play-off chasing Gainsborough Trinity in December, Grantham have only picked up one point on their travels in a 1-1 draw at title-chasing Farsley Celtic. Despite their current position, they are more than capable of picking up results and they will have fond memories of their last visit to Wincham Park last season when they came from behind to beat Albion by the odd goal in five. So Witton will need to continue their recent good form to overcome a team who will undoubtedly prove tough opposition but, they will be buoyed by last week’s victory over Scarborough Athletic as they look to get closer to those play off places which maybe still within reach even if the chances are slim. Kick off at Wincham Park is 3pm.
