Witton Albion vs Kettering Town (FAT 2Q).

Saturday see Witton take on Southern League Premier Division Kettering Town in the Buildbase FA Trophy Second Qualifying Round at The NetDec Stadium. This fixture will be the first time that the two clubs have met since their days in the Conference in the early 90s. A lot has happened for both clubs since then, admittedly mostly in Witton’s case. It’s ironic also that the fixture should pair Witton with Kettering on this weekend of Remembrance as they are nicknamed “The Poppies.” They currently sitting in mid table in the Southern Premier and have a number of experienced players in their squad. One of the main dangers will be forward Spencer Weir-Daley, who has had previous league experience with Nottingham Forest amongst others and recently scored eight goals in two games. Witton will look to progress further in the competition but will go into the game with belief and confidence that they can get a positive result but, it will be a tough test. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 3pm.

I hope it stops raining soon or we could have the same problem as,last year with the pitch. Even the best kept pitches can only take a certain amount of water. Still “poorly” as they say but might be okay for Saturday.
WHS.

The pitch will be fine, I just hope we can have a full and fit squad to pick from and we will have a good chance IMO, my team if possible would be :

Roberts
Gardner, Brown, Wilson, Devine ( Benjamin if Brown not fit )
Haywood, Reeves, Williams, Bauress
Hopley, Tames ( A case for Omatola in for Tames )

Good luck to the Lads UTA

It could possibly be Omotola’s last game of his loan spell.

Big game for us and one which we can win. But we need all Witton fans to get to the match and cheer the players on. The players are doing ther bit by putting in 110% effort into every game, and playing some decent football. So all fans should put in the effort to get down to the game and help Witton into nthe next round. UTA

Just to let you know that the pitch is fine after all last night’s rain

Thanks Knutsfordian, game on ! get down today and watch a real game of football not that tosh that was on last night UTA

Good luck to the lads today, big game for us this. UTA
