Saturday’s FA Trophy match is now top of the First Division North against top of First Division South, has 0-0 written all over it 
We have gone to the top of the table after tonight’s games. (Table is on the ‘League Stats’ page).
Thought our tactics in the second half were terrible, after a very bright start to the game. Absolute screamer of an opening goal, and after the Kidsgrove player was sent off for an awful challenge the game looked there for the taking as we had been playing well against 11 men. Instead we sat back and invited Kidsgrove to equalise, which they duly and inevitably did with just 4 minutes left. We got out of jail with a very late winner, but this was a game we should have had comfortably sewn up much earlier.
Bright points tonight - the excellent performance of the officials and our play in the first half hour of the game.
I always say to get a realistic idea of how teams will get on in a season wait until the beginning of October. Not a bad position to be in, but please, let’s not be so cautious on the field in future!
Yes, top of the league. Good stuff…“rather have the points in the bag”, “jumpers for goalposts” and all that.
Shame about the low attendance. Reckon the Champs league was a factor. Shame cos a Sat or Bank Hol fixture against Kidsgrove may have yielded a few more souls.

Made the last 10 minutes and Kidsgrove scored as soon as I arrived!! Jonah again I thought, the Foster got that late winner, great stuff.

Great result well done to the team, infact well done to both teams they are no mugs and are the leading scorers in this wretched league! So glad we showed the character to get the winner after they levelled, particularly after some of the comments from so called Wittoners among the 170 odd faithfull. I know everyone pays their money and are entitled to give forth, but some of the comments were a total disgrace!!! TOP OF THE LEAGUE cummon the ALBIOOON!!
I don’t disagree with your comments MM, there is no divine right when it comes to winning games (or leagues for that matter). Whilst everyone was frustrated when Kidsgrove scored I am sure that the players felt this more than anyone, fortunately they reacted positively and fought back to find a winner.
Having just watched United come from 0-1 down at home it demonstrates how you need to encourage a team rather than berate it!
