Witton return to league action on Saturday afternoon when they welcome improving Lancaster City to Wincham Park in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. Following a run of four successive cup games, Albion can now hopefully start to pick up some much-needed league points in order to climb away from the lower end of the table at least in the short-term. Following a terrible start to the season, The Dolly Blues have found some form and under the guidance of new manager Mark Fell have lifted themselves off the bottom whilst keeping four clean sheets in the last five games. Lancaster go into the game currently in seventeenth place, ironically the same position in which they finished last season. Witton have some catching up to do following their cup run which has seen them fall at least four games behind some of their rivals so, they will want to get up and running starting with Saturday’s encounter. Lancaster have always proved to be tough opponents for Witton in previous games and the latest meeting is expected to be just as challenging. Kick off at Wincham Park is 3pm.
