Witton Albion vs Lincoln United

Witton welcome Lincoln United to The NetDec Stadium on Saturday in an Evo-Stik Division One South fixture. Lincoln have begun to make steady progress and after being on a losing run, are now unbeaten in their last three league games - winning them all. Their record at Witton is not good but they did win on their last visit back in 2010, beating Albion 4-2 that day. Of the dozen league meetings between the two played at Wincham, Witton have won eight times losing only three. The fixture played at Ashby Avenue this season, saw Witton come out on top by the odd goal in three but they were made to work for it and this game will prove just as difficult. The game is the start of a busy period for Witton, with Cup competitions out of the way for the time being and the focus now on chasing the top two. Three points from the game are essential if they are to keep up the pressure at the top with crucial games on the horizon. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 3pm.

looking forward again to this one, hopefully a full and fit squad available to keep the run going and pressure on the two above us, maybe a tricky selection for Carl certainly at centre half I would go with :

Roberts
Gardner, Brown, Wilson, Devine
Haywood, Williams, Owens, Bauress
Hopley, Tames

The only thing that strike me is we could easily go 3 centrebacks with Lycett coming in for me Owens would miss out and the midfield 3 would be a bit good with Haywood, Williams and Bauress with Gards and Devine naturally adding to the attacking width. I would not mind seeing that formation sometime-maybe a plan B UTA

With Shaw Lane at home to Spalding it’s vital that we get three points.
Obviously one if not both teams will drop points so we have to capitalise.
A win for Spalding would be great but a draw would be nice as well.

I agree it is vital that we get the 3 points, so all Witton fans who can make it to the game should get down to the match and cheer the team on till their lungs can give no more. UTA

Good for Simmo was it in the Guardian which I pay for ? anyway if Ryan Crump is available He looks a very good deputy UTA

See you all there. A win today will either cement our position in the top five or confirm our title credentials depending on the Shaw Lane result. What would be wonderful is a win today and a win on Tuesday.
