Witton Albion vs Lower Breck (PSF).

Witton welcome North West Counties League North side Lower Breck in their latest pre season friendly at Wincham Park on Tuesday night. Saturday’s second half performance against Welsh Premier League side Bala Town will give the Witton management some things to work on and they can take some positives from that game despite the result. Lower Breck were only formed in 2010 and began life in the Liverpool Premier League having finished runners up then champions in successive seasons and promotion to the North West Counties League North. Last season they were leading the table by ten points before the campaign was brought to a premature end due to the Covid pandemic, having lost only four of their 29 league games when the season finished. They were narrowly beaten by Warrington Town in pre season so will be a tough opposition for the Witton team and they may well have some familiar faces in their squad, as they have defender John Shaw, midfielder Jamie Menagh & striker Jamie Henders amongst their ranks. Former Witton manager Tony Sullivan is also a member of their coaching staff. Kick Off at Wincham Park is 7.30pm.
