Witton return to league action on Tuesday evening, when they welcome Marine to The NetDec Stadium in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. Both clubs can now turn their attention to the league for a while following the disappointment of exiting the Emirates FA Challenge Cup at the weekend. The fixture allows a number of familiar faces to be re acquainted with their previous clubs, including the Witton Albion Management team of Carl Macauley & Gary Martindale. There are no fewer than four former Marine players amongst the Albion playing staff - Goalkeeper Calvin Hare, Defender Matty Devine, midfielder James Foley and striker Will Jones. Amongst the Marine squad are former Albion players John Shaw, Scott Bakkor and midfielders Tom Field & Michael Brewster, who had a brief loan spell with Witton. The Crosby - based club have had a mixed start to their campaign with a couple of excellent results then a bit of a wobble so consistency appears to be a bit of a problem for them at present. Nevertheless, they have always been difficult opposition and will no doubt be just as tough this time round under the guidance of experienced manager Tommy Lawson and his assistant, former Albion boss Tony Sullivan. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 7.45pm.
