Witton Albion vs Matlock Town.

Witton go in search of their first home league victory since the beginning of November, when they welcome Matlock Town to Wincham Park on Saturday afternoon in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. The last time Albion secured three points in front of their own fans being a 1-0 success over Lancaster City. The Gladiators arrive in Cheshire ninth in the table but having lost half of their fourteen away games so far whilst at home, their record is totally the opposite winning seven out of twelve. The club finished fourteenth in the league last season but have seen changes in both management and on the playing side in recent months, and are now under the guidance of Dave Frecklington who has had success previously at the likes of Lincoln United and Spalding, as well as a brief spell last season with Gainsborough Trinity. They have added to their squad with players of experience and also some who followed the boss from Spalding. Much-travelled striker Craig Westcarr and Luke Hinsley have formed a good partnership in attack for the visitors and will need to be closely watched, as Witton look to improve on a disappointing home record to date. Witton are capable of beating anyone but they need to start turning some of those draws into wins especially at Wincham Park. Previous meetings between the two clubs have been entertaining so hopefully this latest encounter will be no different. Kick off at Wincham Park is 3pm.

This is one of those games we would hope to win but often at home we dont! So a win is much needed today. Team-wise heard no news yet re injuries or signing so I would exppect us to go 4-4-2 with a midfield diamond again? Possibly Carl’s team -

Hall
Gards, River, Wardle, Devine
McKenna, Smart, Owens, Foley
Hopley, Jones

For Me in that shape, I would bring Lingouba in for Jones and play Owens off Rob Hopley, or as we saw last week go 4-3-3. In that case I would leave Smart out and play Cobley in the front 3. Be interesting to see what we do! Good luck to whoever plays UTA

We are forced to make at least one change as Billy Smart begins a two-match suspension.

As Cilla would have said " Surprise Surprise " UTA
