Great entertainment especially the 2nd half played in atrocious conditions, thought we played some good close passing football and 4-0 flattered the visitors as we hit the frame of the goal 3 times and had numerous other chances.
Well played lads

Great performance in horrendous windy conditions. To go in half-time 1-0 up, playing against that wind was due to very good team tactics.

The weather was nearly as bad as when we beat Barrow 1-0 away in 1992, just before we met Wycombe Wanderers in the quarter final of the FA Trophy.

Joey Palladino was in goal that night, and the half when we played against the wind went like this:-

Joey goal-kick would come back over his head and the crossbar and go for a corner.
Barrow corner would go behind for a goal-kick
Joey goal-kick would go back over his head for a corner.
Barrow corner would go behind for a goal-kick
etc etc.

I think Colin Rose scored our goal, from well within his own half, when we had the wind.

It was a good workout for how we would need to play against a much stronger (on paper) Wycombe side.

Well done to anyone playing in those conditions it was as bad as it gets, and as TT said we did manaqe to play some good football and it could have been 7 or 8 including a stonewall penalty not given as Flav said it was an assault. Did not learn a lot just further proof that Menagh is a good signing and will score a good few goals for us. UTA
