Witton Albion vs Northwich Victoria (Boxing Day).

Come on all you Witton fans, let’s get down to this game and cheer our fabulous team to another 3 points in our push for promotion… UTA

I had a dream last night that we lost 3-2! I just hope that I woke up early and missed the comeback

My dream was better, won 6-0!!
WHS.

Doesn’t matter what time of year or what position in the league we are all that matters is we beat them .
I was brought up to be a Wittoner and I have always been proud to be one , no more so than now.
Got to win tomorrow, doesn’t bare thinking about if we don’t.

Witton welcome tenants Northwich Victoria on Monday afternoon in the first "Derby " of the season in the Evo-Stik Division One South. Fortunes for the two clubs couldn’t be much different at the present time and Witton will surely go into the game as favourites, as they aim to continue their unbeaten home run this season. Northwich go into the game without a win in their last six games but, the appointment of a new manager often brings renewed hope to a club and former Colwyn Bay, Warrington Town, Leek Town & Clitheroe boss Paul Moore will be looking to get off to a winning start. Witton have shown this season that they are upto any challenges that confront them and the added spice of the fixture will certainly galvanise them even more. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 3pm.

Here’s an interesting comparison with our tenants; Bradford Bulls (formerly Northern), a former giant of a team in Rugby League but fallen upon hard times, have today been liquidated following their third administration. Sad event this my parents were from Bradford and me and Dad used to go and watch them (he also rode speedway at Odsal Stadium after the war).
Anyway it seems that the financial authorities eventually lose patience…

Very interesting MM. Odsal was a superb speedway track - what was your fathers speedway name
