Witton Albion vs Prescot Cables (PSF).

Bank Holiday Monday marks a significant step as we are able to welcome fans back to Wincham Park for the Pre Season Friendly against Prescot Cables, albeit in restricted numbers. Six months since crowds were allowed into football stadia and we shouldn’t lose sight of the reasons for that as football had to take second place to the circumstances we found ourselves in but now, we have a semblance of normality at least. It has been a testing time for everyone and there have been so many changes to get used to but atleast there is light at the end of the tunnel. Football-wise, the management team have still been working towards the anticipated return to action and looking to bring new faces to the club such as Josh Gregory, Steve McNulty & James Hooper as well as the return of three faces familiar to the supporters in Isaac Baldwin, Scott Bakkor and Steven Tames. Results have been a mixed bag so far but pre season has always been about match fitness and never has that been more important and relevant than now with the enforced break. Two successive wins will have given confidence to everyone and will no doubt help as they look to the proposed start of competitive games in the coming weeks. Being able to return to the club we love can hopefully bring a new focus for everyone whilst at the same time following the guidelines and staying safe but enjoying supporting our club once again. Kick Off at Wincham Park is 3pm.
