Witton Albion vs Romulus

Witton welcome Romulus to The NetDec Stadium on Saturday in an Evo-Stik Division One South fixture. The two sides met back in September in The Midlands and played out a 1-1 draw on the artificial surface at Sutton Coldfield’s ground, when The Romans were joint top of the league with Albion having won each of their opening four league games of the campaign but have fallen away since then, having won only three out of thirteen games. Despite that run, they sit only four points adrift of Witton but have played more games. Three points for either side can make a big difference and certainly for Romulus, as it would get them back within touching distance of the play off places whereas Witton will be looking to continue their unbeaten home record and keep the pressure on the clubs around them. Albion have games in hand but, they can’t allow the gap at the top to become too wide. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 3pm.

right time to forget about the cup, 3 points please, lets get behind the team tomorrow , no easy games but I’m sure the lads know that and another hard working display should see us home UTA :goal

Early team news: Ronan Eves is unavailable due to being with the Cheshire County FA Youth Squad whilst fellow midfielder Billy Reeves has returned to Port Vale following his loan spell.

It feels a bit weird having a league game! Good luck to the lads tomorrow here’s hoping for another three points and keeping the pressure on those above. Any news on Paul Williams? UTA

Andrew Simpson reported yesterday that both Anthony Gardner and Paul Williams are ruled out through injury.

We are down to bare bones again, given our squad the best team I can see is :

Roberts
Lycett, Brown, Wilson, Devine
Tames, Haywood, Owens, Bauress
Omatola, Hopley

Good news is that is still a pretty strong team despite our losses UTA
