Witton Albion vs Scarborough Athletic.

Witton will be looking to return to winning ways on Saturday afternoon when they welcome another play off hopeful in Scarborough Athletic in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. A productive run in February was halted in midweek with a disappointing result at home to Buxton, continuing Witton’s form at Wincham Park but they have another opportunity to try to put that right against a Scarborough Athletic team who have also seen the form dip in recent weeks. Two wins, two draws and two defeats have seen the Yorkshire club fall away from the upper end of the table and only one away win since November hasn’t helped their cause. Scarborough’s last visit to Wincham Park a few seasons ago, saw them leave empty-handed following a 1-0 victory for Albion with a very late goal and completed a league double for Witton that season. This time around, Scarborough have the chance to complete the double following a 2-0 victory earlier in the season. Witton are still in with a shout of reaching the play offs but they need to start winning their home games and can’t allow teams in the same situation to get too far ahead of them. With only four away games left, the onus is on them to pick up as many points at home as they can starting with this game. Scarborough’s prolific strike force of James Walshaw and Michael Coulson will take some watching and Witton’s defence will be tested but they’ve overcome these types of challenges in the past and can do so again. Kick off at Wincham Park is 3pm.
